Over the weekend 3 very kind gentlemen, Joe Bart and his sons Rich and Will, volunteered their time to help around the Center. They cut down a tree, spray painted light poles, planted mums, and helped out with Fall decor.
They did so in honor and memory of their good friend, Michael Gilmor. Two years ago these gentlemen held the first “Gilfest” raising money for the Michael S. Gilmor Memorial Scholarship Fund. This year, they put together year 2 of Gilfest, which consisted of a day full of volunteering across Long Island and concluded with everyone gathering to remember their friend with incredible raffle prizes, good food, cold drinks, and good music. We encourage you to check out their mission and become inspired as we did #FeelGoodFriday #gilfest #longisland #winterscenterforautism
