We would like to thank Del Fuego again for selecting us as one of the proceed recipients. Del Fuego so kindly donated over $9,000 from the event!
We are so humbled and grateful for this very generous donation and for our friends and family that came out to support the event.
Today, in honor of his birthday, we commemorate the life and legacy of our founder, Joe Winters. With each passing year, our loss feels deeper and our desire to fulfill his mission grows stronger.
As a loving, respected, and dedicated husband, father, son, brother and uncle, Joe was most known for his leadership role as Long Island’s largest provider of recycling and solid waste services in the region. Joe’s legacy as a steward of the regional environment can only be overshadowed by his dedication to philanthropic initiatives and love for his family.
Joe took his strong work ethic and translated it to his desire to create The Winters Center for Autism. https://youtu.be/TJZbQHS-Zhk
No words can adequately express our sadness and loss associated with Joe’s passing or our gratitude for the opportunity to work with him.
We will honor his memory by dedicating ourselves to continuing the work he loved so much.
His legacy will live on forever in our hearts as we continue to create a more inclusive and meaningful future for adults with autism.
We are so humbled and grateful to be selected as the 11th Annual Imagine Awards semi-finalist for the Rising Star Award.
The Imagine Awards Long Island was created as a way to showcase the nonprofit sector and all the good work that it does, as well as provide opportunities for deeper collaboration within the sector.
It is an honor to be considered alongside many prestigious Non-profits of Long Island. Congratulations to all!
Another successful concert in the books!
Thank you to everyone that came out in support or tuned in online, to our staff, to The Music Academy for Special Learners, to Suffolk County Legislator Jason A. Richberg for stopping by and to the Theresa Foundation for making this all possible!
