An annual Mattera holiday tradition, Tyler’s parents, Rich and Lori, shared that each year Tyler chooses an organization he wants the proceeds to go to and when Lori and Rich asked Tyler this year he replied, “Winters!”

Rich and Lori shared that the outpouring of people’s kindness and support was extraordinarily touching. They had people from all over Long Island, and the world, stop by to see the shimmering lights, there were even visitors from Spain!

In addition to lights display Rich and Lori’s son- in- law launched a Go Fund Me page to compliment the holiday lights, with a rendering of extraordinary generosity.

Last week the family came to the Center to present a check to the Center for $2,015.00.

Timmy G. is beaming with pride in his work as he carefully picks these crisp green vegetables from the Centers’ aeroponic tower gardens!

The freshly picked lettuce, kale, and other delicious vegetables were then generously donated to the Gerald J. Ryan Outreach Center in Wyandanch.

Marcus and Daniel had a remarkable first day at the Bayard Arboretum.

They took an in depth tour of the grounds that they will be working on, as well as trimmed many overgrown plants in the walking trails.

We are so excited to see what comes of this flourishing relationship with the Bayard Arboretum and our trainees.
