Winters Center For Autism hosts its 2nd Annual A Toast to Embracing Autism fundraiser. Exclusive Cocktail Event at Harbor Club at Prime 95 New York Avenue, Huntington, NY on Thursday May 1st at 6:30pm
(West Babylon– May 2, 2025) – Winters Center for Autism hosted its 2nd annual, A Toast to Embracing Autism fundraiser at The Harbor Club at Prime on Thursday May 1st at 6:30pm. This event honors the vision and mission of the late Joe Winters, providing job training and employment opportunities to young men and women on the autism spectrum. Joe recognized that although there are many programs that provide excellent services for children, there is a huge gap in services for adults with autism.
More than 150 guests were in attendance, including the Title Sponsor, Maggio Environmental Services. Together we celebrated the accomplishments of young men and women with autism with an incredible community of supporters and businesses that have worked together to transform Long Island’s commitment to Hire for a Higher Purpose.
We are grateful for the generous support of our sponsors, including EJ Autism Foundation, Will & Kim Flower, Bulovas Restorations, Sanitary Equipment Co., Inc., Life’s Worc, Industrial Coverage, Daniel Gale Foundation, The Schiatta Team at CrossCountry Mortgage, Ridgewood Savings Bank, Local 138 Operating Engineers, Elija, HOPEFitness, Dynamic Air Conditioning Company, Inc., G-Rock Handcovers Inc., Eagle Sanitation, Landscaping by Gasper LaRosa, Bay Village Consultants, Pal-O-Mine Equestrian, Brady Agency, Cerini & Associates, and FT. & MT. Holding Corp.
Winters Center for Autism is built upon establishing meaningful relationships with business professionals who are passionate about making a difference in the community and want to reduce the unemployment rate for individuals with autism which exceeds 85%. These relationships are the key to making a difference in changing the landscape of unemployment for adults with autism. “In just 2 years, Winters Center for Autism has engaged more than 57 employer partners who have hired young adults with autism in their businesses and this initiative continues Long Island’s commitment to Hire for a Higher Purpose.” Christine Ponzio, Executive Director, Winters Center for Autism
