February is American Heart Month. We were fortunate to have Zach Grunther, safety manager and Winters Bros., teach CPR to the WCFA team. Special thanks to Zach for donating his time and expertise and providing such a valuable skill set.
For the past 14 days, Bill, Harrison D and Harrison K have been selling raffle tickets to Winters Bros.' employees to raise money for our center. The staff at Winter Bros. helped us raise over $300! Cheryl was the winner of our Valentine's Day raffle basket. We hope Cheryl will enjoy a dinner on us at the Cheesecake Factory. #hireforahigherpurpose
#winterscenterforautism #valentinesday On Monday, February 12, we celebrated Valentine's Day as well as Julian's birthday. We had pizza, pink trail mix and Shirley Temples. We were feeling the love today from all the trainees.

Seen here is Kyle clocking out of his initial shift, assisted by Marco. Kyle, a trainee at WCFA, now holds two employment positions. He serves as a Social Media Intern at Winters Center for Autism and as an Administrative Clerk at Winters Bros. His performance on his first day was exceptional! Thank you for your dedication, Kyle.
#hireforahigherpurpose #autismawareness #winterscenterforautism #WorkingWednesday This past November, Robert McBride of McBride Consulting & Business Development Group stepped into the ring at the Long Island Fight for Charity, championing the cause for Winters Center for Autism. With great generosity, he contributed $10,000 to support our mission. Grateful for your donation, Robert!
#autismawareness #longisland #autismacceptance #autism #winterscenterforautism #mcbrideconsulting An annual Mattera holiday tradition, Tyler’s parents, Rich and Lori, shared that each year Tyler chooses an organization he wants the proceeds to go to and when Lori and Rich asked Tyler this year he replied, “Winters!”
Rich and Lori shared that the outpouring of people’s kindness and support was extraordinarily touching. They had people from all over Long Island, and the world, stop by to see the shimmering lights, there were even visitors from Spain! In addition to lights display Rich and Lori’s son- in- law launched a Go Fund Me page to compliment the holiday lights, with a rendering of extraordinary generosity. Last week the family came to the Center to present a check to the Center for $2,015.00. A big thank you to the Mattera Family!! Exciting News!
